Recently, a UK chocolatier based in Kent claimed to have made the largest Easter egg here in the UK, weighing in at 300kg which is over 660 pounds and for those like me who are old school is over 47 stone. For me to get my head around this I have to imagine its 330 bags of sugar in weight. Apparently, it took 5 members of staff to make it over 5 days. It’s 7ft tall and is as deep as a jacuzzi bath, according to the production manager of Cocoba, the makers.
Some would ask ‘Why’ whilst others would say ‘Why not.’
The tallest chocolate Easter egg was made in Italy on April 16th 2011 at a height of 10.39 metres (34 feet).
Cadbury earlier this month made their own creme egg weighing in at 45kg (over 99 pounds) at a height of 3ft and likened to the size of an adult Emperor penguin.
Again, why? Or why not?
This weekend is celebrated by millions of people around the globe. Easter means many different things to people. Easter egg hunts for children are a popular thing for families to do. Easter is celebrated with eggs, representing new life and birth. An ancient custom became part of the Easter celebrations during the medieval period as eating eggs during lent was forbidden. So, Easter Sunday was a day when they could eat and enjoy an egg after 40 days of fasting eggs.

“The story of Easter is the story of God’s wonderful window of divine surprise,” Carl Knudsen.
Easter’s main story for Christians around the world is that they celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead three days after he was executed by crucifixion.
“Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life,” Janine di Giovanni.
I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend and that April is a month that brings fresh hope and colour into your life for the rest of the year.
