Love is Kind. I don’t know about you but when I experience kindness from my wife, friends or even strangers it really makes me feel good.
Just like someone once said:
“No act of kindness no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
Recently I bought myself a hoodie with the words on the front in a bold font saying:
“Be Kind, it’s really not that hard.”

This is just what Ingrid Newkirk meant when she said:
“The wonderful thing is that it’s so incredibly easy to be kind.”
I bought the hoodie as a reminder to myself to do what it says every time when I wear it. It is also a reminder that possibly everyone you & I meet is facing some sort of internal battle and an act of kindness could just be the medicine they need to get through the day.
“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”
– Dalai Lama
Also, when people walk past and read the words on my hoodie you can see them mulling over the words. Hopefully they’re thinking ‘who & how can I show kindness today to the person I live with, or work with or the person serving me in the local supermarket or driving the bus.’ Kindness is choosing to make a difference in other people’s lives; making a positive impact on each individual you meet. I know I can so easily be unkind at times and this is usually down to me being too critical of myself and then transferring that onto others.
By being kind to ourselves in how we speak to ourselves can make a huge difference in how we act to other people.
“You have to be kind to yourself to survive in the world.”
– Paul Dini
Or as Jacob Tremblay says:
“Everyone can be rude, and everyone can be kind.”
What will you choose today? For as an old proverb says,
“A kind word is like a spring day.”
Enjoy the game.
