Thank you to our fundraisers!!!
Back at the beginning of April 2023, we had a team meeting with lots of different types of cakes, and cakes of different sizes including cupcakes, banana cakes, lemon cakes, Victorian sponge cakes. We thought it would be a great way to raise money for our listening and chaplaincy services.
So later that month, some of our volunteers and staff held coffee, cake & chat events to raise funds for SYCLS in April. Many held coffee mornings in their own homes and invited friends, family and community members. People who attended the events learned about SYCLS often for the first time, others were able to ask questions about SYCLS and what we do. People said they enjoyed running the events and talking about the organisation they are proud to volunteer or work for.
Together they raised over £360 for SYCLS chaplaincy and listening services.
We are grateful for the time spent baking and the support of people who came along to the events. With the money we hope to support more people through the challenges of life.
