Join our listening team ROLE FILLED
We are looking for fabulous Listeners to join our growing Medical Centres’ Listening Team. The post-holders will be providing a 1-1 Listening Service for patients across 4 Medical Centres within Hillsborough Primary Care Network. The post-holders must be compassionate and empathic listeners, with a passion for SYCLS ethos and values, and experience of working with people in distress.
Since piloting a small, voluntary, service at 1 medical centre, we have developed partnerships with 3 Primary Care Networks providing a Listening service for patients at the 13 medical centres within those Networks. This 4th partnership is an 8-month opportunity to provide support for patients in the North West of the city. Using high-level listening skills, our Listeners provide face to face and telephone appointments, and occasional home visits, giving time and focus to listen to patients’ situations. Our small team have a passion and desire to support patients facing a range of life challenges.
Our ideal is to appoint two part-time Listeners on a job-share basis although applications for one full-time position are also welcome. The job-share could be a 2-3 day split, or equal 2.5 days split (a full day is generally 9am – 5pm).
